Best American Restaurants in San Francisco

Quince leads with Michelin Three Stars and a James Beard win, backed by Saison, Sons & Daughters, Lazy Bear, and Birdsong all running Two Stars. Seven more One Stars fill out the top tier, from State Bird Provisions to 7 Adams. Below that, Ernest and Zuni Café headline a Delicious tier stacked with Beard honors, and the Damn Good list still carries two Bib Gourmands and a 2006 Beard winner in Gary Danko. Depth like this is rare for one cuisine in one city.
