Pastrami remains the anchor, sold by the pound or built into sandwiches on house-baked rye alongside corned beef and a reuben. The kitchen also turns out matzo ball soup, landing somewhere between a Central Texas smokehouse and a New York Jewish deli.
Catering rounds out the business, handling events big and small on top of the daily counter and deli service.
Mum Foods was selected for the Michelin Guide in 2025 and was a James Beard Foundation semifinalist for Best Chef: Texas in 2024. Austin Food Magazine named it among the city's best in 2026.
