Chef and restaurateur Jamie Leeds opened this Wharf location of Hank's Oyster Bar in October 2017, bringing her seafood concept to the Southwest Waterfront with views of the Potomac River. It's part of the Jamie Leeds Restaurant Group, alongside the original Dupont Circle location.
The menu runs through East and West coast oysters, an Eastern Shore crab dip, and seasonal soft shell crabs, alongside what the restaurant calls its urban beach food classics — po'boys, lobster rolls, and larger seafood plates. Regulars also come back for branzino, chowder, fried oysters, and a weekend brunch.
The waterfront setting is part of the draw here, with patrons taking in the view over cocktails or a family meal. Michelin included the Wharf location in its 2025 Selected list for Washington DC.
