Fish Shop traces its roots to Ballater, Scotland, before landing on The Wharf in Washington DC, blending that origin with the fishing traditions of the Chesapeake Bay. The bar and restaurant seats 180 across a main dining room, bar, and three private dining rooms, with a patio overlooking the Potomac River.
The menu is built around shellfish and day-boat fish, sourced through a collective of local fishermen working the Potomac and mid-Atlantic waters, with meat and vegetables from surrounding farms. Maryland blue crab gets particular attention during crab season, with dishes built around the catch at its peak.
Fish Shop has been named to Eater's essential 38, received coverage from The Infatuation, and holds a Michelin Selected designation for 2025.
