The Roll is the more casual sibling of Sushi Hakko Omakase, bringing Chef Alex's Edomae-style sushi to Folsom Street in SoMa. The format leans toward futomaki rolls, temaki hand rolls, nigiri, inari, and kaisen don rather than a formal omakase experience, with dine-in, pickup, and delivery all part of the operation.
Dry-aged bluefin tuna and kombu-cured (kelp-cured) salmon run through much of the menu, showing up in both rolls and nigiri. The Roll, a six-piece signature combining tuna, salmon, amberjack, and vegetables, and The Moriawase sit alongside the Dry-Aged Tuna Roll and Konbu-Jime Salmon Roll. Japanese sides round things out — house-made karaage, house-made seaweed salad, and simmered mushrooms (kinoko nimono) — plus rice bowl options like the Karaage Curry Don and a Lunch Chirashi Bowl.
