The Spot
YELLOW is a Levantine café from Chef Michael Rafidi, first opened in 2020 next to his restaurant Albi in Navy Yard before expanding to Georgetown in 2022. The savory side draws on Rafidi's upbringing: mezze, hummus, and pita sandwiches wood-fired to order.

The pastry case runs as its own program under Executive Pastry Chef Alicia Wang, crossing Levantine flavors with French technique in items like Za'atar and Labne Croissants, Chocolate 7 Spice Cruffins, and Baklava Kouign Amanns. Coffee Director Ayat Elhag built the beverage program around Arabic coffee culture, including a Baklava Mocha Latte, Coconut Cardamom Iced Coffee, and the house YELLOW 'Spro.

The Georgetown café has built a following for its pastries and its space, drawing steady crowds who keep coming back for consistent quality. Michelin awarded YELLOW a Bib Gourmand in its 2025 Washington, D.C. guide.
