The Spot
Bad Chancla sits at 1525 Olive Way in Capitol Hill, an all-electric kitchen built for take-out, pickup, and dine-in. It's described by its owners as a love letter to millennial immigrants and first-generation Latinx Americans, and it marks their first standalone storefront after a run of pop-ups and events built around representation and tradition.

The menu moves across the Latin American diaspora: ropa vieja rice bowls, Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Miami-inspired sandos, and a huevos con Winnies quesadilla all sit on the same short list. Outside regular service, the space also hosts private dinners and events.

Regulars describe the owners as a big part of the draw, with word spreading about surprisingly deep flavor coming out of a small space. The restaurant is connected to Garzón and Lola's Supper Club under the same team.
