Al Pastor Papi is a counter-service Mexican spot a few blocks from Union Square, the kind of place suited to a quick, satisfying lunch. The al pastor, marinated salty-sweet, is the reason to go — served in tacos, folded into a vampiro finished with a crispy cheese skirt, or piled into the Al Pastorta, a substantial sandwich loaded with avocado, pineapple, and the rest of the fixings. There's plenty of seating if you want to stick around rather than take it to go.
