Donaji is a casual Mexican restaurant in the Mission built around Oaxacan cooking. The room leans fun and informal, with a hummingbird painted across one wall, faux doors and windows, and papel picado strung above the bar — the kind of place regulars treat as a comfort-food fallback on an ordinary night.
The mole enchiladas are a draw on their own, finished with marbled crema over a mole that's spicy, rich, and nutty. Masa-centric dishes anchor the rest of the menu, alongside a cocktail and mezcal program that's developed its own following.
Michelin selected Donaji for its 2026 guide.
