Mayfair Grill sits inside the Mayfair House Hotel & Garden, occupying one of Coconut Grove's more distinctive dining spaces — an interior done in earthy tones that opens onto a lush garden area with fountains. The restaurant operates under the philosophy "Ingredient. Fire. Season. Plate.," built around open-flame grilling.
The menu was previously built around Southwestern cooking; it has since been revamped to lean Argentine, with the wood-fired grill turning out meats, bread, dates, and prawns alongside a handful of pasta dishes. The restaurant's oven has been retired from service entirely, now repurposed to hold a potted plant. Executive Chef Jorge Rivera Parrilla oversees the kitchen.
