The Spot
OK Yaki specializes in okonomiyaki and other regional street foods from Osaka, which it calls Japan's food capital. It started as a pop-up in 2016 before moving into its own brick-and-mortar space on Moreland Avenue in East Atlanta in December 2020.

The food menu stays focused: okonomiyaki, yakisoba, handmade gyoza, karaage chicken, a kombu burger, potato salad, and yaki mochi, backed by whisky highballs and Asahi draft served in frozen mugs. The kitchen runs late.

Regulars point to the okonomiyaki as the standout, and the room has built a reputation as a welcoming, lively neighborhood spot with vegetarian-friendly options. OK Yaki also hosts a monthly karaoke night with no stage — just a mic passed around the room.
