The Spot
Table opened in downtown Asheville in 2005, the first restaurant built by husband-and-wife team Jacob and Alicia Sessoms under their Perfectly Ad Hoc group, which also runs a sister bar downtown and All Day Darling, a café in Montford.

The kitchen works from American culinary traditions with a particular nod to the Southeast, built on long-standing relationships with local farmers and artisans. Whole grilled Sunburst Farms trout, Heidi's bread with cultured butter, spaghetti with ramps, steak tartare, ricotta cavatelli with rabbit sugo, and braised lamb shank for two have all held down spots on a menu that moves with the seasons. The wine list draws its own following alongside the cooking.

Michelin selected Table for its 2025 guide.
