The Spot
Golden Hour is a wood-fired concept from Jacob Sessoms, set on Roberts Street in the River Arts District alongside The Radical. The kitchen cooks its dinner menu over live fire, with separate dessert and wine programs running alongside it.

The space and atmosphere have drawn a strong following, with regulars calling it a local gem worth the price. Others have noted food and service growing less consistent in the period since the hurricane disrupted Asheville's restaurant scene, alongside higher prices.

Golden Hour was named to Time Out Asheville's best-of list for 2025 and holds a Michelin Guide Selected designation for the same year.
