The Spot
Chestnut has occupied 48 Biltmore Avenue in downtown Asheville since 2012, built around what it calls classics done right with a touch of cutting edge. The kitchen works with house-cured meats, mashed potatoes, and local steak, sourcing from area growers, ranchers, cheese makers, and dairies.

The menu runs brunch and dinner, and regulars point to lobster bisque, petite filet, trout, fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese, and charcuterie, alongside salads, potatoes, fries, and chicken. A full bar of craft cocktails runs alongside the food menu.

Chestnut is a sister restaurant to Corner Kitchen, which has served Biltmore Village since 2004, both under the same ownership group, Westmoreland & Scully.
