Shinka occupies space inside The Jay, Autograph Collection hotel in San Francisco's Financial District. The kitchen is led by chef Fumio Yonezawa, who cooked at Jean-Georges in New York, helped open 57 Fifty Seven in Tokyo, and later ran No Code before bringing those experiences together here. The cooking blends Japanese sensibilities with French technique, built around Northern California ingredients.
