Sforno Pizzeria Napoletana is a counter-service pizzeria in Hayes Valley known for the pizza a portafoglio, a folded, portable pizza that originated as Naples street food. It comes with a puffed-up crust and a light, simple marinara sauce, built to be eaten on the move. The kitchen also turns out full Neapolitan pies, including the Spicy Trouble, topped with crackly piccante salame.
Seating is limited to a handful of outdoor tables and some indoor seats, enough for a sit-down pizza, though plenty of regulars just grab their folded slice and keep walking.
