Leo's Tacos Truck started with a single truck from the Martinez family, originally from Oaxaca, Mexico, and grew into a wider operation across Los Angeles before adding locations in the Bay Area. The Sunset outpost sits on the Great Highway near the Pacific, one of only a handful of spots outside Southern California serving the family's al pastor.
The pork is cooked on a vertical trompo using methods passed down through generations, carved to order and typically tucked into tacos with a bit of pineapple. Beyond the al pastor tacos, the menu runs through carnitas mulitas, huaraches, and sopes, plus items like a California burrito loaded with fries and an alambre hawaiano topped with charred onions and pineapple.
