The Spot
Maggie & Mac's sits in the Inner Sunset as a neighborhood casual spot built around weeknight burgers, cocktails, and brunch. The two-story space draws a steady mix of families, including plenty of stroller-and-carrier traffic from the farmers market nearby, with booths roomy enough for kids and gear.

The menu covers a lot of ground. Family staples include chicken pot pie with roasted chicken and puff pastry, fish tacos made with Pacific rock snapper, bacon-wrapped meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes, steak frites, and a French onion soup built on a 48-hour reduction under a heavy cheese cap. The M&M Smash Burger, made with a ground chuck-brisket blend, has become a standout. Appetizers run from loaded mac and cheese with jalapeño and bacon to Sally's onion strings, while the kitchen also turns out pizzas, wings in a house bbq-buffalo blend, and a sesame-crusted tuna tataki.

Service and ingredient quality show up repeatedly as strengths among regulars, and the restaurant has settled in as a go-to for easy family meals in the neighborhood.
