Solare Ristorante sits at the corner of Roosevelt Road and Historic Decatur in Liberty Station, Point Loma, run as a family operation by Randy Smerik and his team. Chef Accursio Lotà's kitchen works in the Southern Italian tradition, built on fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
The menu includes dishes like Spaghetti all'Aragosta, Ossobuco di Maiale, Carpaccio di Wagyu, and Medaglioni di Manzo. Regulars keep coming back for the risotto, and the seafood pasta has developed its own following. The dining room is joined by a wine room, a chef's table, and heated patio and lawn seating.
Solare was named a San Diego Magazine best-of pick for 2025 and has been selected in the Michelin Guide's San Diego roundup in both 2025 and 2026.
