The Spot
Samurai Sushi has been on Elliston Place for years, outlasting other locations that have opened and closed elsewhere in Nashville. The room is small — five tables downstairs, a few more upstairs, and a six-seat sushi counter — making it a convenient stop before a show at Exit/In next door.

The menu covers a wide range, from deep-fried rolls to nigiri to rolls wrapped in soybean paper with fruit tucked inside. The spicy tuna has developed a following for its distinct, lingering heat.

Regulars describe it as a hole-in-the-wall gem with a genuine, unpretentious feel, and credit the staff and chefs for keeping things friendly and consistent over repeat visits.
