Michelin gave it a Bib Gourmand. The prices are genuinely accessible. The food is genuinely excellent. This is one of the most interesting restaurants in Nashville and almost nobody outside its immediate neighborhood knows about it.

The lamb and beef kebabs off the charcoal grill are smoky and immediate. The Uyghur lagman — hand-pulled noodles with beef, peppers and egg — is the dish to order. The plov is properly made. The honey cake is the exit.

Uzbegim is a small Uzbek and Turkish halal restaurant at 117 28th Ave N in Midtown Nashville, tucked into the back of a building near Centennial Park. Six indoor tables, outdoor grill for charcoal kebabs, Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition. Family owned by Ulugbek Fayziev.
