Gott's traces back to 1949, when a roadside stand first opened along Highway 29 in the heart of Napa Valley. Brothers Joel and Duncan Gott took it over in 1999 and rebuilt it around a simple idea: diner classics made with better ingredients, served in a casual, come-as-you-are setting.
The menu runs through burger variations like the California Burger (fried egg, gruyère, bacon, balsamic onions), the Kimchi Burger, and the Western Bacon Blue Ring, alongside Ahi Poke Crispy Tacos and Chicken Schnitzel with harissa and turmeric mayo. A California-focused wine and beer list rounds things out, pairing local Cabernet or Russian River beer with the food.
Dining happens at large communal benches and picnic tables, indoors and out, built for groups moving through wine country. What started as a single roadside stop has since grown into multiple Bay Area locations.
