Our Take

Daniel's built a steakhouse that works because it refuses to posture. Daniel Ganem directs the steak program with real precision, and the classic American sides land exactly where they should, backed by European-inspired service that keeps pace without stiffening the room. The dining room runs on tomahawk steaks and a little spectacle — a valet lined with the kind of cars that draw attention, servers moving with a coordination that actually holds up over a long dinner.

What separates it from the dozen corporate-backed chop houses crowding Coral Gables is the posture. The prices are real, but nobody here makes you feel like you overpaid for the privilege of being seated. The room is full of regulars treating the place like a social club, and the kitchen keeps them honest by actually delivering the steak instead of coasting on the scene.

It landed on a recognition list in 2026, which tracks. Daniel's earned its following by executing the fundamentals of a steakhouse better than its competition, then adding enough warmth that expensive doesn't read as cold. That's a rarer trick than it sounds.

The Spot
Daniel's is a fine dining steakhouse in Coral Gables, overseen by Culinary Director Danny Ganem, with a dedicated bar menu that runs alongside the main dining room.

The beef program centers on named-farm sourcing — Stone Axe Wagyu, Margaret River Wagyu, Rosewood Ranches, and Suwannee River Wagyu — drawn from grass-fed pastures and heritage cattle farms. The list spans a 32-ounce Australian Margaret River Wagyu tomahawk to a 22-ounce Demkota Heritage Elite cowboy ribeye dry-aged 45 days.

Beyond steak, the dinner menu includes a Florida blue crab cake topped with Kaluga caviar, Serenoa Skipper Sweet oysters at the raw bar, a lobster fra diavolo, and a bolognese made with pork, veal, and wagyu beef. The bar menu has its own identity, built around a double-patty smash burger and a cacio e pepe that have become signatures in their own right.

The room runs busy and social — a valet lined with luxury cars, a dining room that fills nightly with celebrations — and service stays polished without feeling stiff, even at these prices.
