Coqui by Tayta's is a small, casual counter-style spot in Homestead built around Puerto Rican plates. The carne frita comes with mamposteao — rice and beans cooked down until they taste like they've been simmering all day — and tostones al ajillo, with the pork chunks finished in grilled onions. Seating inside is limited, and a large mural of the Puerto Rican flag covers one wall, but most orders here go out the door rather than to a table.
