The Spot
Union sits on North California Avenue in Logan Square, built around the idea that beer and food deserve equal billing. The kitchen turns out seasonally focused, shareable New American plates, while 24 rotating draft lines showcase sours, dark lagers, and pilsners from Chicago and Midwest breweries. The spirits list runs deep too, with over 200 whiskey bottles alongside brown liquor-based cocktails and biodynamic, organic wines.

The room holds 16 bar seats, high-backed booths, and three large communal tables, built to work equally well for a quick drink off the train or a long dinner. Union is one of several concepts from Meadowlark Hospitality, founded in 2021 by Logan Square resident and hospitality veteran Steve Lewis, alongside sister spots Lardon and The Meadowlark.

Michelin awarded Union a Bib Gourmand in both the 2024 and 2025 guides.
