Mexican Radio sits inside an art-deco space in Chicago's Loop, built around a grand tequila and mezcal bar, a string-lit patio, and walls covered in original murals from local Chicago artists. It's part of Roanoke Hospitality, alongside Roanoke Grill on 21 and La Bella Altezza.
Culinary Director Dudley Nieto, a native of Puebla with more than 25 years of experience, leads a kitchen drawing on traditions from Oaxaca, Puebla, and the Yucatán — house-made mole negro and salsas, an al pastor trompo, and seafood specialties, alongside monthly rotating regional specials and a dinner series spotlighting a different part of Mexico each month.
The bar program has built its own following, particularly around mezcal and margaritas, and the tacos draw consistent praise for fresh ingredients and execution — table service is more of a mixed bag.
