The Spot
Acanto sits along Chicago's Cultural Mile, directly across from Millennium Park and a few steps from the Art Institute — a spot built for pre-theater dinners, museum breaks, and long lunches. It operates as a restaurant and wine bar with a la carte dining, and the menu draws from both northern and southern Italy: handmade pastas, stone oven pizzas, and seasonal specials from Executive Chef Troy Jorge, with a dessert menu of contemporary takes on Italian classics from Executive Pastry Chef Kymberli DeLost-Cuschieri.

The wine list is the anchor of the place — more than 700 bottles spanning Italy's 20 wine regions, including bottles from up-and-coming winemakers and rarer vintages, alongside a bar menu of Italian classics like spritzes and negronis and a rotation of craft cocktails.

Acanto has been selected for the Michelin Guide's Chicago list in 2019, 2020, and 2021. It shares ownership with The Gage next door, and its location across from Millennium Park has made it a regular stop for visitors moving between the park, the Art Institute, and the theater district.
