The Spot
Green Street Smoked Meats has been smoking meat since 2014 in a warehouse-style space tucked down a brick-paved alley in Chicago's West Loop. The approach draws on Central Texas barbecue traditions: house-smoked meats sold by the half-pound, hot links, and BBQ sandwiches, backed by a full lineup of hot and cold sides. The counter regularly turns out pulled pork, chicken legs, brisket, beef ribs, and bone-in smoked salmon.

A bar side runs alongside the smoker, pouring curated draught beers and BBQ-friendly cocktails, giving the place a dual identity as both a meat counter and a hangout, with rock music playing over the dining room. Regulars and reviewers frequently mention the pork ribs, pastrami, hot links, spicy pickles, and elote.

The restaurant also runs catering and mobile catering operations out of the same West Loop location, and is part of the Hogsalt hospitality group.
