The Spot
Brasero cooks Latin American food over an open fire in West Town, in a room kept dark and low-lit — energetic without tipping into club volume, the kind of place built for a group to hang out and actually talk. Diners have also described a leap-of-faith tasting option, where the kitchen sets the pace of the meal.

On the menu, a coconutty moqueca-style bowl built with Akahoshi ramen noodles balances sweet against heat, and grilled oysters come with cashews for crunch. The cooking has been described as thoughtful and balanced, with knowledgeable service backing it up.

Brasero's wine program was named a semifinalist for the James Beard Foundation's Outstanding Wine Program in 2026, and Robb Report included it among the country's Best New Restaurants in 2024.
