The Spot
Omarcito's Latin Cafe sits on Fullerton Avenue in Logan Square, serving Latin American sandwiches and plates. The menu includes a jibarito-style pork and steak sandwich, a shredded beef sandwich with black beans and sweet plantains, and a pulled pork sandwich finished with tomato, onions, and garlic sauce.

Beyond the sandwiches, the kitchen turns out flautas topped with green garlic sauce, cream, cabbage, and tomato, ropa vieja, empanadas, marinated chicken with rice and crispy fried plantains, and a fried catfish sandwich in a cornmeal crust. Flan rounds out the menu.

The dine-in area doubles as a social room, with local DJs and other performers occasionally taking over the space and patio on weekends. Omarcito's has been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, and The Infatuation scored it 9/10.
