Suerte sits in the heart of East Austin, built around a devotion to masa, the corn-based foundation of Mexican cooking. Chef Fermin and the kitchen team run a seasonally driven menu that brings traditional Mexican techniques together with local Texas ingredients, served in an open dining room dressed in art and textiles, with a patio looking out over East 6th Street.
The bar leans into agave, pouring a range of Mexican spirits alongside rotating natural wines and craft cocktails. Regulars mention the suadero, tostadas, and brunch service often, with masa running through much of the menu.
Suerte has held a Michelin Selected listing in both the 2024 and 2025 guides and was named a StarChefs Rising Star for the Austin-San Antonio market in 2023.
