The confidence in the space matches a kitchen working a modern Mexican register with real intent, and the combination is rare enough in Downtown Austin to stand out immediately — walking in has the effect of making you feel like you've leveled up before the first course arrives.

Back-to-back Michelin selections confirm what the room and the food already argue on their own: this is a restaurant operating at a level most of its neighbors aren't reaching for. Comedor built something distinct and is being recognized for it, not coasting on the recognition.
