The Spot
Le Pichet opened on First Avenue in Downtown Seattle on August 3, 2000, and has run as a French bistro out of the same room ever since. Executive chef Jim Drohman, who also oversees sister restaurant Café Presse, keeps the kitchen turning out French onion soup, raclette, chocolat chaud, chicken liver terrine, and a roast chicken that regulars keep coming back for. A zinc bar anchors the room, and the day moves from morning coffee and croissants through lunch and dinner service.

The wine list leans toward small, independent producers working with organic or biodynamic methods, chosen to pair with the menu and also sold by the bottle to take home. Diners point to the baguette, pâtés, duck confit, and daily specials as staples worth returning for, alongside a cheese selection and hazelnut-forward desserts.

The Infatuation rated Le Pichet 8.1/10.
