The Spot
Island Prime sits on Harbor Island, its main dining room raised on wooden stilts directly over San Diego Bay, with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the downtown skyline and Coronado Bridge. It's billed as the only waterfront steakhouse in the city, open since 2005.

Chef/Partner Deborah Scott runs a traditional steak-and-seafood menu built on premium cuts and fresh catches, served a la carte and as composed entrees. Signature dishes include the Island Prime Filet Trio, Seared Blackened Tuna, and Chicken "Under a Brick," alongside a 38-day dry-aged New York steak and a seafood platter for the table.

Island Prime is part of the Cohn Restaurant Group, which runs several other restaurants on Harbor Island. Regulars point to the steaks, generous portions, and standout appetizers as much as the bay views.
