Pyro Pizza has been a landmark of Cartopia — Portland's original food cart pod and beer garden — since 2008. The pizza comes out of a wood-fired oven, with sauces and cheese made in-house.
The menu sticks to a straightforward lineup: Margherita, Marinara, Arugula Mushroom, Pepperoni, Fennel Sausage, Quattro Formaggi, Veggie Bianca, and a Sicilian-style Nonna topped with mozzarella and provolone over tomato sauce. Garlic and cheese breadsticks round things out. Alongside the pizza, Pyro pours a rotating selection of locally-made natural sodas, served with free refills.
The cart has built a following of regulars who treat it as a destination within Cartopia rather than just another stop in the pod.
