The Spot
Kachka serves dishes from the former Soviet Union filtered through a Pacific Northwest lens, with chef Bonnie Morales at the helm. The dining room is set up for group eating: shared plates, a long table energy, and a menu that leans on staples like pelmeni and sturgeon shashlik, both dishes regulars keep coming back for.

The restaurant has built a reputation for consistency alongside its hospitality, and it's grown into a small family of businesses — Kachka Dumplings, Kachka Lavka Market, and Kachka Spirits — all extensions of the original restaurant's identity.

Kachka has been named to the Eater 38 and to Portland Monthly's 2025 best-of list. Bonnie Morales was a James Beard Foundation finalist for Best Chef in 2018, after the restaurant was a semifinalist for Best New Restaurant in 2015.
