Eight4Nine takes its name from its address on North Palm Canyon Drive, in Palm Springs' Uptown Design District. The room is built as a blank canvas for the food: white walls, comfortable furnishings meant for lingering, and a back-lit onyx bar anchoring the lounge.
Regulars come back for the Turkey and Brie Monte Cristo, generous enough to split, along with a duck relleno poblano and Chilean sea bass served over crab-stuffed piquillo peppers. Brunch has become its own draw here, backed by a drinks program that gets frequent mention alongside the service.
Beyond the main dining room, Eight4Nine operates a private events business with several distinct rooms, each with its own art and character, able to host anywhere from ten guests to 300, plus an in-house catering arm for offsite events.
