LITO sits in the heart of Wynwood as a Southern European-inspired restaurant drawing on Italy, France, Spain, and the broader Mediterranean coast. Founding chef Junior Santos and chef Caio Ottoboni, who developed the menu, built it around seafood, olive oil, citrus, fresh herbs, vegetables, handmade pasta, and open-fire cooking — familiar regional flavors reworked rather than recreated.
The format is shared plates: crudos, vegetables, pastas, seafood, and dishes off the grill are meant to move across the table rather than sit as individual courses. Dishes like gnocco fritto, goat cheese orzo, and a tuna au poivre give a sense of the range, from dainty starters to heavier, more composed plates.
The room pairs warm lighting and natural textures with a lively bar, and the drink list leans on citrus and fresh botanicals alongside a wine selection meant to move easily with the food. It's set up as a place where a few shared plates can turn into a full dinner, and dinner can run long into the night.
