Lan Pan-Asian Cafe has been serving East and Southeast Asian food from a small spot on the ground floor of Dadeland Station since 1999, sharing the shopping center with everyday retail rather than a typical restaurant row. Chef Johnson Teh, who has worked in restaurant kitchens across Asia and the United States for over two decades, reinterprets classic dishes with a light contemporary touch.
The menu spans sushi and sashimi alongside noodle and rice dishes from Japan, China, and beyond. The red sea roll — fried shrimp, cream cheese, and asparagus topped with spicy tuna and wonton crisps — is a standout on the sushi list, while Mongolian beef and flat noodles round out the cooked-food side. A separate window serves bubble tea for anyone passing through. Lan Pan-Asian Cafe is the sister restaurant to Su-Shin Izakaya in Coral Gables.
