Armstrong Jazz House sits in the heart of Coral Gables' Miracle Mile, built around a small stage carved into what used to be a bridal shop's display window. Live jazz runs every night of the week, with the band visible from the street before you even walk in.
The kitchen is led day-to-day by Chef Frank Rolando Arrunategui, who brings 28 years of experience, with Chef Jeremy Heastie — a New York Culinary Institute graduate with 15-plus years in New York and Miami fine dining — involved in shaping the menu. The food draws on French technique filtered through Afro-Caribbean, Spanish, and North American influences, built on organic ingredients, produce from local farmers, and sauces made from scratch.
Wine-based cocktails and a full bar round out the room, which works well for a drink and a show either before or after dinner elsewhere.
