Aiko & Mumu is a chef-driven Japanese restaurant in Coconut Grove founded by Chef Richard, who built the concept around sharing chef-driven food with his family — the name nods to his son, Mumu, born on Valentine's Day. Sushi service comes from resident Chef Partner Shinichi Inoue, known as Chef Shin, through his Sushi Inoshin brand.
The menu centers on sandos, including a tamago sando built on a jammy egg, alongside assorted sushi boxes and donburi bowls. The space is understated — a Marshall speaker, textured walls, and a colorful statue in the corner give the otherwise plain room some character. Much of the business leans toward pickup and delivery, with the dining room running quieter on weekdays.
Aiko & Mumu also operates locations in Edgewater and Doral.
