The Warbler opened in January 2018 on North Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Square, named for the Midwestern-migrating bird known for congregating in large, chattering groups. It's the second restaurant from the hospitality team behind Gather, located next door, with chef Ken Carter running the kitchen.
The menu leans into elevated comfort food: Korean-style chicken wings glazed in tamari and sesame, a double-patty burger with American cheese, a braised short rib sandwich on house focaccia, and a pork bánh mì with gochujang aïoli. Salads and soups round things out, alongside a cocktail-driven beverage program.
The Warbler also runs a supper club series. Michelin Guide selected the restaurant in its 2019, 2020, and 2021 editions.
