The Spot
India House Restaurant in River North is part of a Chicago-area group founded in 1993 by Jagmohan Jayara, which started in Schaumburg before expanding to Downtown Chicago, Hoffman Estates, and Naperville. The menu runs wide, covering traditional curries, naan, and Indian street food, with a lunch buffet running alongside standard à la carte ordering.

The same roof also houses Bombay Chopsticks, the group's Indo-Chinese concept, so diners can move between classic Indian dishes and Indo-Chinese plates in one visit. Regulars have built a following around the naan and appetizers in particular, the dishes most often singled out on repeat visits.

India House also handles catering for weddings, corporate events, and other private gatherings out of its Chicago-area locations.
