The Spot
Mattie's occupies a farmhouse that has stood on this corner of Bouldin Creek for more than 75 years. The current name arrived with a major renovation completed in 2017, honoring the matriarch tied to the property's history. The kitchen works from seasonal, farm-sourced ingredients across separate dinner, brunch, dessert, wine, and spirits menus.

Brunch draws particular attention, with buttermilk biscuits and milk punch showing up often among what diners order. The grounds extend well beyond the main dining room into a ballroom, pavilion, and cottage lawn used for private events, and the peacocks that roam the property have become something regulars mention as often as the food.

The Infatuation scored Mattie's an 8/10.
