Our Take

Atlas runs the most polished dining room in Buckhead — inside the St. Regis, hung with serious art, run to hotel-palace standards — and the kitchen keeps up with the setting, which is the hard part. Freddy Money, trained in Alain Ducasse's kitchens, cooks modern American with European bones, and the pastry program carries the same pedigree.

The Michelin star has been in place since Atlanta's first guide. Hotel restaurants usually borrow their gravity from the lobby. Atlas generates its own.

The Spot
Atlas operates inside The St. Regis Atlanta in Buckhead, under the culinary direction of Freddy Money, who trained in Alain Ducasse Group kitchens before taking over the menu here. Dishes are built through partnerships with local farms and select international purveyors. Executive Pastry Chef Nicolas Grosse, who trained under Alain Ducasse in Monaco and Luxembourg and held Michelin-starred roles in Paris and London, runs the pastry program.

Beyond the main dining room, Atlas offers the Papillon Room for bespoke, customized private menus and group celebrations, while The Garden Room operates as a more casual garden bar and dining space on the same property. Reviewers on TripAdvisor point to the tasting menu, cod, salad, and bread service as regular highlights.

Michelin awarded Atlas one star in 2023, 2024, and 2025, and the restaurant is a 2026 James Beard Foundation semifinalist for Best Chef in the Southeast. It has also been included in the Eater 38 and reviewed by The Infatuation as Atlas Buckhead.
