The Spot
Glo's opened in 1987 as a classic breakfast-and-lunch diner started by Gloreen Raineri, whose warmth and hospitality set the tone for how the place has run since. After Covid, a fire, and a long construction process, Glo's reopened at a new home on Capitol Hill, near the Capitol Hill Transit Station, now focusing exclusively on breakfast.

The kitchen still cooks from scratch. Eggs benedict variations are the flagship, alongside home-style corned beef hash, fresh buttermilk biscuits with mushroom gravy, vegetarian black bean chili, vegetarian frittata, and rotating omelet and pancake specials. Hash browns have built a following of their own among regulars.

The room draws a mixed, loyal crowd who describe the atmosphere as friendly and inclusive, with attentive service even when the wait runs long. The Infatuation scored Glo's a 9/10.
