Our Take

Christopher's occupies the Wrigley Mansion, and the setting could easily be the whole pitch — the kind of room that lets a restaurant coast on backdrop alone. This one doesn't need to. The French cooking holds its own against the house, and what stands out most is how rarely it slips. Diners come back and get the same tight, correct meal every time, which sounds like faint praise until you've eaten enough restaurants that can't manage it once.

Service matches the food. The staff reads a room built for celebrations and special occasions without turning stiff or precious about it, and the mansion setting never becomes a substitute for actual attention at the table. That combination — a genuinely handsome room paired with a kitchen and floor staff that take it seriously — is the rarer thing in Scottsdale than the view.

Michelin gave Christopher's a nod in its 2026 Arizona selections, and it reads as recognition of exactly this: a French restaurant that treats a spectacular address as a responsibility rather than a crutch. It earns the trip up the hill.

The Spot
Christopher's at Wrigley Mansion occupies a glass-and-steel space built into the historic Wrigley estate, with views stretching toward Camelback Mountain and the Phoenix skyline. Chef Christopher Gross runs the kitchen, built around a wood-fired grill, turning out an ever-changing tasting menu of modern twists on classic French cooking.

The dining room includes a chef's counter where Gross and his cooks not only prepare each dish but bring it to the table themselves, alongside a more traditional dining room and an open-air patio.

Alongside the tasting menu, the restaurant runs an à la carte petites plates service, offering smaller dishes and drinks at the chef's counter or on the patio.

Christopher's was selected for the Michelin Guide in 2026.
