Yuanbao Jiaozi is a small shop built around one thing: boiled dumplings, made to order behind a glass-walled workstation where staff fold meat and vegetable fillings into thick, chewy wrappers. The menu runs to 12 types, each served 14 per order, enough to make a meal on its own — the pork and napa cabbage is the one most often pointed to. Beef noodle soup rounds out a short, focused menu.
Seating is limited to a handful of tables, and the shop has built a loyal following in the Sunset that keeps lines long on a regular basis. Regulars return for the consistency as much as the dumplings themselves.
