The Spot
The Brazen Head is a neighborhood steakhouse with a full bar and no sign out front, which hasn't stopped it from becoming a fixture in Cow Hollow since 1980. The room leans into an old pub feel — velvet curtains, a dim red glow, paintings of bearded old men on the walls, sports bobbleheads scattered around for kitsch.

The menu centers on certified prime beef: filet mignon, roasted Angus prime rib, and a signature New York pepper steak. A double-cut pork chop uses heritage pork, and the chicken breast is organic Petaluma. Starters include escargot and French onion soup, both well known here, alongside heirloom tomato and burrata salad with housemade dressing, lobster ravioli, and marinara-sauced pasta made in-house.

It's the kind of place built for rolling in late and eating well without ceremony — comfort-leaning steakhouse food served in a room that looks older than it probably is.
