Lokma sits in the Outer Richmond as the more casual, older sibling to fine dining restaurant Taksim. The room leans homey den over polished dining room: brick walls, window sills cluttered with a hodgepodge of found glass, bird feeders, and mismatched potted plants, and seats by the window looking out onto a quiet stretch of the neighborhood.
The kitchen runs breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Mornings bring a Traditional Turkish Breakfast with eggs, Turkish sausage, feta, olives, and muhammara, alongside Menemen, a Turlu Omelette with Turkish ratatouille, simit, and Bal & Kaymak served with honey, clotted cream, and house-made pita. Lunch shifts toward sandwiches and shareable plates — the Lokma Burger with beef and lamb and feta, a grilled chicken sandwich with tzatziki, Papas Bravas, and a spreads trio of muhammara, baba ganoush, and tzatziki with warm pita. Dinner brings out bigger plates, including manti stuffed with ground lamb and fresh calamari over pearl couscous, both finished with a tomato butter sauce.
